It is the responsibility of the traveler to gather information about and obtain required travel documents, visas and travel authorizations (as applicable) needed for entry into the destination country. This includes, but is not limited to, ESTA for travel to the USA and eTA for travel to Canada.
Traveling to Europe
A Schengen visa is one special kind of tourist visa that enables either transit through or an intended stay within the territory of the Schengen Member States for the duration of maximum 90 days (short stay) within a 180-day period. Indian passport holders can apply for a Schengen visa at the embassy of any of the member states.
Traveling to the USA? It is a requirement of the US Department of Homeland Security for all passengers eligible to travel under the Visa Waiver Program to apply for an Electronic System Travel Authorisation (ESTA).
Passengers traveling to Canada must apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). This includes those with a study/work permit. Exceptions include: Canadian citizens or dual Canadian citizens, Canadian permanent residents, or U.S. citizen. (However, lawful permanent residents of the U.S. need an eTA if traveling by air.) We always recommend getting an eTA before booking your flight to Canada.
Visitors traveling to India need to apply for a visa in advance, with two options available: Regular visa and e-visa. The type of visa depends on the passenger‘s nationality. Please remember to print a paper copy of your e-visa. We advise our passengers to seek information from Indian authorities about travel documents and requirements before entering India.
